Springfield, Massachusetts is a city in western New England. Springfield sits on the eastern bank of the Connecticut River near its confluence with three rivers: the western Westfield River, the eastern Chicopee River, and the eastern Mill River.
American author Dr. Seuss, best known for authoring more than 60 children’s books is from Springfield . His work includes several of the most popular children’s books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages by the time of his death.
